Richard Milner, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in May 2024 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Austin Peay State University in 2020. He was inspired to pursue optometry by a desire to provide quality eye care in rural communities where access to specialized healthcare can sometimes be limited.
Dr. Milner has a strong interest in ocular disease and focuses on diagnosing and managing conditions that affect both eye health and overall wellness. He finds optometry especially rewarding because it allows him to not only care for patients’ eyes but also identify and manage certain systemic health issues, making a real impact beyond vision alone.
One of the most fulfilling parts of his work is the relationships he builds with his patients. Dr. Milner truly enjoys getting to know his patients over time and supporting their eye health through each stage of life. He’s committed to making a difference in his community by providing compassionate, personalized care that improves quality of life for his patients.
Mallory Mathis, O.D., attained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the esteemed University of Missouri, St. Louis College of Optometry in 2023. Prior to that, she successfully completed her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Dr. Mathis specializes in the fields of ocular disease and contact lenses. She embarked on a career in optometry with the intention of making a positive impact on individuals, addressing their ocular needs both personally and professionally. The aspect she finds most rewarding about her role as an optometrist is the opportunity to deliver exceptional care to members of her community and beyond.
When not tending to patients, Dr. Mathis takes pleasure in spending quality time with her spouse and dogs. She also has an adventurous spirit, frequently traveling to new and captivating destinations. As an alumna of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she can often be found enthusiastically cheering for “The Volunteers” on game days.
Michelle Harrison, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Dr. Harrison enjoys forming relationships with patients and taking care of their eye care needs.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Harrison enjoys snow skiing, boating on Kentucky Lake, and reading.
